Looking up from Quinta Magnolia at the at the main road bridge on the Avenida do Infante

The entrance to the Quinta Magnolia gardens is situated on the Rue do Dr. Pita, just beside the hotel Quinta do Sol in Funchal. The Quinta do Magnolia was originally built as the British Country Club but, today, it is administered by the Madeiran regional government. It is within 15 minutes walk of the centre of Funchal. Head westward out of the city via the Rotunda do Infante. Make your way up past Santa Catarina park along the Avenida do Infante. Cross the road bridge and look for the "flying man" statue. The Rua do Dr. Pita is on your right. Quinta Magnolia is open daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm and the gardens are free to visit.
