Flower festival heart made from red blooms, Funchal, 2003

This photo shows a heart display made from red blooms. Every year, there is usually eight to fifteen floats that join the Flower Festival Grande Parade in Funchal. Each float is covered in flowers manipulated into various designs and all of them have their own accompaniment comprising of dance troupes, children and adults in beautiful costumes and colourful hats.
