The Monte Palace Tropical Gardens offer the visitor a mixture of waterfalls, ponds, a vast selection of vegetation and flowers in the laid out gardens, a museum and various curios dotted around the grounds. This tourist attraction is open daily (except Christmas Day) from 9.30am to 6.00pm and is situated on the Caminho do Monte, just down the hill and along from Monte Church.
