Funchal Tourist Photos Guide 1
Funchal, the premier city of Madeira, has many attractions that are of interest to the tourist. Foremost, are the many tropical gardens that are open to the public. Not surprisingly, given Madeira's all year round warm climate, the island is a treasure trove of tropical plant species from all around the world. Also, given the volcanic nature of the island, and the steeply rising mountainous slopes, a modern addition are the cable car attractions. The capital boasts of two such rides. As a bonus, both have Monte as their destination. Monte, is, in itself, a highly popular destination on any holidaymakers itinerary.
